Easy Lychee Sorbet

This was one of the easiest recipes to make and tasted delicious!
After searching the web for a while and finding only relatively complicated recipes I ran into a few that only required water, sugar, lime and lychees.
I took it a step further in my recipe and used only canned lychees, their syrup and a lime.

Ingredients:
1 can of Lychee
1 lime

Directions:
Strain lychees, saving the syrup. Set 5 lychees aside. Place the remaining lychees in the blender with 1/2 cup of the syrup. Blend until pureed. Mix the blend with the remaining heavy syrup.* Squeeze the lime into the mix to taste (I used the entire lime). Place the mixture into the ice cream maker.**
Cut the 5 lychees you set aside earlier in halves or quarters.
Serve in a bowl with some slices of lychee.

*If you don't want pieces of lychee in your sorbet, strain the purée and use only the liquid
**I'm pretty sure you can make the sorbet without the ice cream maker if you just freeze it In a freezer safe container. If you're making it in the freezer, or storing it in the freezer, let it thaw a bit before serving.
