A few weeks ago we watched an episode of the Lazy Environmentalist where Josh visited a Pet Groomer. During the episode, he brought our attention to the ingredients of dog treats. We checked the ingredients of our dog's treats and were shocked to see a long list of ingredients of which we did not recognize half! At that moment, we decided to only purchases organic treats and I became determined to make my own healthy dog treats.
I searched online for recipes, but many of them had too many ingredients or were a little more complicated then I wanted, so I decided to experiment on my own. For Christmas I made some super simple organic treats, which the dog went crazy about!
Home-made Dog Treats

Finely chop apple and carrot
Mix with whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup of flour and peanut oil in a bowl
If dough is sticky add up to 1/4 cup flour

Place treats on a lightly greased cookie tray and bake for 40 minutes
Tips:
