Homemade Almond Butter

This was the easiest thing I've ever done in the kitchen and it tastes absolutely delicious!

Ingredients:
About 2 cups of almonds
Optional: oil (can be peanut or olive oil)

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Place almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast until almonds start changing color (approx. 15 min).
Cool slightly, then place in food processor while almonds are still warm.
Process until desired consistency is reached, stopping occasionally to scrape the sides.
Some recipes suggest adding oil, but I would wait a few minutes until the consistency of the mixture has changed (it starts out dry, then turns creamy).
If the desired consistency is not reached add 1-2 teaspoons of oil.
Store in the refrigerator.

Tips:
Add sugar or honey if you want sweeter almond butter
Add some sea salt if you like it saltier
Add 1/4 cup of chopped almonds for crunchy butter

There are a variety of almond butter recipes out there. When I decided to make my own almond butter, I used: AllRecipes.com and Mahalo.com as references.
