Deliciously Easy French Toast

The secret to deliciously fluffy french toast is the type of bread you use. Challah bread is a great bread for french toast, so is French bread. I used rustic bread, because that's what we had at home and it was definitely two days old.

Ingredients:
~4 slices of bread
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1 tbsp cinnamon sugar
dash of nutmeg
butter
fresh raspberries (or other fruit)
powdered sugar
agave or maple syrup

Directions:
If you haven't done so already, slice the bread
Whisk eggs and milk in a bowl (make sure the bowl is large enough to fit a slice of bread)
Add cinnamon sugar and nutmeg and whisk
Place 1st slice in the bowl and let soak
After about 30 sec turn over and let soak again
(The trick with the bread is to have it thoroughly covered in the mixture without becoming soggy)
Heat some butter in a skillet
Remove slice from bowl and let excess drip back in bowl
Place on the skillet
Place your second slice in the bowl
Let soak again, then turn over
Flip you first slice on the skillet
Add the second slice
Repeat for the remaining slices
Cook each slice until both sides are golden brown
Serve on a plate with powdered sugar, fruit and syrup
